Created over three and a half years across four languages—English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian—this project seamlessly blends hip-hop, world music, spoken word, and experimental textures. Born out of a period of profound personal pain and loss in Portugal, and later completed in Italy as a testament to new beginnings, the album explores universal human themes of memory, migration, love, grief, and resilience.
In a modern musical landscape increasingly shaped by AI and Auto-Tune, It Wasn’t Supposed to Be Anything embraces raw imperfections, leaving true emotions intact. It is a deeply human record made to sound as real and organic as possible.
