It’s Not My Fault Music is an independent music label based in Portugal, with deep creative roots stretching from Lisbon to London.

Founded by Barnabe Freixo, the label began not just as a creative outlet but as a powerful act of resilience. After facing one profound personal loss — one son lost to suicide and another son living with a rare genetic (Duchenne muscular dystrophy) condition requiring a wheelchair — Barnabe returned to what had always grounded him: MUSIC.

He re-started making music after a 7 year hiatus, designing clothes, organising events, all by himself.

Over time, a few DJs gravitated toward his vision, slowly building a small but strong vibe, what had started as a deeply personal mission.

 

INMF isn’t just a label. It’s a reminder that life is short, and that every moment is an opportunity to dream, to connect, to dance, and to live. As Barnabe puts it: “A ‘no’ is already a given — but if you ask, you might just get a yes.”

Today, INMF is home to a couple of artists,  COIXI and Be from the World, and holds space for anyone who believes in persistence, community, and the power of sound.
