It's Not My Fault Music (INMF) is an independent record label, creative collective, and cultural movement based in Portugal, with deep artistic roots stretching from Lisbon to London.

Founded by multi-disciplinary artist Barnabé Freixo, the label was born not simply as a business, but as a powerful, defiant act of human resilience. After enduring profound personal tragedy—losing one son to suicide and navigating the daily realities of raising another son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy—Barnabé returned to the one force that had always grounded, healed, and saved him: Music.

Breaking a seven-year hiatus, Barnabé built INMF from the ground up entirely on his own—restarting his music production, hand-designing clothing lines, and organising independent events. What began as a deeply personal mission of survival slowly built its own momentum. Over time, a few local DJs gravitated toward his vision, naturally bringing a small but strong vibe to the project.

We stand firmly against the sterile, algorithm-driven perfection of the modern industry. Instead, we champion the raw, the unfiltered, and the authentic.

Today, INMF is the official home to Barnabé's boundary-pushing musical projects: Be from the World and electronic producer/DJ COIXI. The label exists to hold space for anyone who believes in the power of persistence, creative independence, and the transformative impact of sound.
