Andrea Belluso
Andrea Belluso's musical journey began in the early 70s when he became one of the first punks, hanging out with The Sex Pistols at Vivienne Westwood's Seditionaries shop in London. Inspired by the punk ethos "just do it," he formed his first band at 14 without musical training. This led to playing with bands like Visage and Pleasure and the Beast, both chart-toppers and drumming for Risqué, the support band in the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams tour.
Despite a thriving career as a fashion photographer, Andrea's heart always beat to the rhythm of music. His love for music never waned, and a few years ago, he bought a DJ controller for fun. This impulsive purchase, made on a whim while he was moving from Sweden to Bali, marked the beginning of his DJ career.
His first gig was at Hotel Grün, a stepping stone to performances that led to a summer breakout in Russia in 2024. Invited by his fiancée Yulya Chai, Andrea played at the Generation Yoga Festival after-party, a performance that marked a turning point in his career. This event not only secured Generation Yoga as his producer but also brought him international acclaim and recognition.
Generation Yoga, a well-respected figure in the music industry, took Andrea under their wing as his producer. Word of mouth brought him gigs across Russia, including the Ethnoscope festival.
Back in Rome, Andrea's musical journey continues with regular performances and hosting of Ecstatic Dance events. His DJ sets, which focus on electronic music, especially Techno and Drum and Bass, reflect his diverse taste. His open-mindedness is evident in his broad musical palette, which excludes only Country, Western, and Heavy Metal.
